Last year my mom and dad made me a squirrel feeder. I love our neighborhood squirrels and my kids and I feed them corn, apples, and peanuts. My mom found it on pinterest, my dad built it, my mom painted it. I love it!

The best handmade gift I ever received was a crewel work Christmas tree my late mother-in-law made. We hang it up every year and it makes us smile and remember all the wonderful Christmas’ we shared through the years!

Since I’m the crafty one in the family, everyone tends to give me the DIY gifts (ie: the supplies) for me to make it myself!

That would be the quilts that my Mum and Grandmas have made me, one of which being a beautiful double wedding ring pattern, hand quilted by my sweet Grandma. My Mum does entirely hand quilting as well. She made me a gorgeous hand embroidered wall hanging a couple years ago that I love.

My sister made us a gorgeous quilt for Christmas several years ago. It makes its yearly appearance on our bed only during the holiday season. Thanks.

Hi, I love the tree decorations that are made each year…We each make one for the others in the family…Always thinking of what they enjoy doing as a hobby is fun..You would never know if you got dangiling bits of wood shapes like ice, or stars from old tin cans or maybe fishing flies made from metal bottle caps…always something to remember each other by…

When I was about 11 years old, we did not have money for Christmas. My mom took my old dress and made me a pillow and wrote on it in permanent marker. I still have it 30 years later!

The best handmade gift I ever received was when Dad made me a doll’s house for my 8th birthday. He never got around to making the stairs, so the poor inhabitants had a dangerous lift shaft to fall down in the middle of the house. I adored that dollhouse and decorated it with all the furniture I could think to make out of matchboxes and contact paper.
