Here’s the first of the collection of Comfy Sleep Sets that I have to show off. This cotton interlock is perfect for pajamas . . . even if the little guy wearing them is a bit away from eating eggs and bacon for breakfast!
The top in this set is so easy to pull on because of the criss-crossed top pieces, and the elastic-free waistband on the pants is great for comfortable snoozing.
This is the size 12 months on Charlie who wears between a 12 and 18 months in ready-to-wear clothes. You’ll have to excuse his poor little red nose. It seems that he’s been fighting a cold since winter settled in here.
Charlie’s wearing the pants over a medium AI2 cloth diaper in this picture, and the rise has enough room to cover the diaper well. (It does peek out a little when he squats down, but not enough that it would bother me at all.) The pattern fits perfectly over a disposable diaper, too.
On to my first Stitch Giveaway . . . everything you need to make your own Bacon & Eggs Comfy Sleep Set: one copy of the Spring 2011 Stitch Magazine with the pattern (and whole lot of other great projects), 3/4 yard of bacon & eggs cotton interlock and 1/4 yard of chocolate brown cotton/spandex rib knit for the trim pieces. To enter, just leave a comment here sharing your favorite thing about baby clothes. You can earn extra entries by posting on your blog or your facebook page about the giveaway, too. Just click on the Contact Me button right above my picture and send me the link to your post. This giveaway will end on Friday, 1/28/2011 at 10 p. m. central. The winner will be chosen by random drawing. Enjoy!
Love the pattern Bonnie! My favorite thing about baby clothes is how they are so tiny and make the baby look even cuter (if that’s even possible!). I love all of your patterns and I’m trying to find the time to sew clothes for all 6 of my kids just because I love when they wear Mama-Made stuff. It makes me so proud! 🙂
OO OO OO!
ME ME ME!
Except the first person is never chosen. BOO!! 😛
How exciting. I love the pajama design! My favorite thing about baby clothes is how small they are. Kids grow so fast and just looking at small baby clothes reminds me of how tiny my babies used to be 🙂
My favorite baby clothes are onesies. I love in the summer that you can just put one on and there is the outfit. I now have a baby girl and love the ruffle butt onesies the most.
Oh how cute! I love baby clothes because you can save them for other children. Most baby clothes are outrown before they’re outworn, and my boys love to know who else wore their clothes. (We get lots of “Was that MINE when I was a baby?”)
Love everything: the tininess, the extra stretchy head holes, the fact that your baby can be naked except for a diaper and still be clothed. Cute!
I’d love to win this set. I love the softness of baby clothes. And you can just cuddle your little one close 🙂
I love the fact that you don’t need a whole lot of fabric to make something really cute for a baby/toddler.
I really hope I win this as I got a serger for my birthday and need a project to get started with it!!
Thank you for being so generous!
love it! I love how super tiny baby clothes are; like there’s no way someone that tiny could fit in there, but they do and the clothes end up being a bit too big!!
Very Cool! I love baby clothes because sewing them is instant gratification for sewing. If I need a project that I can start and finish in an evening it is always something for a baby.
Love that fabric! Super cute!
He looks so cute in that! My favorite thing about baby clothes is the cuteness of them. My almost three year old is so big now. It’s hard to believe something so big used to be so small. 🙂
I just love those jammies! I have to say my fav thing about baby clothing is the new tiny little life they represent. I look at my now 15 year old wearing hubbys clothing and sigh remembering how tiny he once was.
Love those pjs! Those pjs are exactly what I love about baby clothes, soft, cotton knits. I could live in them and that’s what I loved to put on my babies! Your patterns all look so great.
What a great give away! I love all your patterns and they fit my kids perfectly – Congrats on the magazine!
Love it! My favorite thing about baby clothes is that they are so comfy. Why can’t my clothes be more like that?
Wow how awesome! Great giveaway!! Congrats Bonnie, your patterns rock. 😉
I love how comfy baby clothes are ~ my 16 month old little guy mostly wears knit pants and long-sleeve onesies and you can buy them as a set for $6 at Costco! And they’re really cute!
He could use some more PJ’s in the next size and I would LOVE to try out this pattern ~ THANKS for the chance!

Oh how cute! I love how forgiving baby clothes are for the creator; if I make a mistake and it doesn’t fit now, it will soon or it can be given to someone smaller. Also the comfy factor!
I love when newborns wear newborn size clothes. The nicely fitting clothing when they are so small just makes them that much smaller.
I love this outfit. It’s so cute. Thanks for the giveaway!
I am looking forward to putting clothes on my newest born…this week! And, I would love for him to have another outfit inspired by Auntie Bonnie and similar to Charlie’s. I will be posting on FB and my blog, too.
i love that baby clothes are so comfy!! they are also lucky to be able to wear even the craziest of prints AND look good doing it. hope i get picked, the jammies are super cute. neeleymartin (at) yahoo (dot) com. thanks.
My favorite thing about baby clothes is the way a baby can get away with wearing anything, and look adorable while doing it.
If I tried to wear bacon & egg pants, it’d look silly. But on a baby, it is adorable. babies can rock any look. It’s amazing!
Pick me! Because that is one knit I actually DON’T have lol. I’m so happy for you Bonnie! Here’s to big things!!!
Love the pattern!! The best part of baby/childrens clothing is when it is made with love, they look more adorable and feel more loved!!
Would love to win,
Amy
Ooh I love making something special for little ones. You know every stitch is filled with love. <3
I love how teeny tiny infant clothes are! What a great giveaway!
Too cute! I love making baby clothes because they are small and give almost instant gratification! My best friend just had her 3rd baby and I would love to make this for her!
My favourite thing about baby clothes is how tiny they are and how fun they are to make (either knit or sewn).
Oh so cute, and congratulations on the magazine. The thing I love most about baby clothes is how cute it is, I mean everything is cuter when it is little. thanks
I would love to make those for my little guy!
My favorite thing about baby clothes is that they are always so cute! Love the magazine and the fabric; thanks for the chance.
Another awesome pattern you’ve put out Bonnie. Baby clothes are fun to make and put on cute LO’s. And I like that I can make more w/ 1 yd of fabric <3.
Love this fabric! I feel that baby clothes definitely need to be easy-on &-off for changing. These look perfect!
another great pattern.. all you patterns are fantastic.. congrats on the magazine part..
I would love to be entered please! I have been searching all over for the magazine without any luck. I love your patterns 🙂
Bonnie, it’s adorable. Another homerun. What do I love about baby clothes? I love the snuggle factor! I love clothes that are soft and cuddly when I’m snuggling my baby – all the better if they’re mama-made. And of course, all of your patterns make great snuggling from even the big kids. I can’t wait to outfit my new babe in a few of these sets!
I love that baby clothes use so little fabric and are so fast to sew up! (And I also love them because babies wear them and I love babies)
I hope I win the draw so I can make this set for someone special.
I love this pattern! I love how many baby outfits you can get out a small amount of fabric 🙂
I love how fast baby clothes sew up and how fun it is to admire your handy work on your precious little one!
Thank you Bonnie for the chance to win!!!!
My favourite thing about baby clothes? Their miniscule size. Such adorable-ness!!
I love that bacon and eggs knit. Fingers crossed!
The thing I love about baby clothes are seeing them on a squishy little one! They just add to the softness that babies simply are. Making your own is that much better too, since you know what kind of love, care and time went into them.
SOOOOOOOOO cute!! Love the pattern and Charlie looks so cute <3
The thing I love about baby clothes is that, though it’s difficult to believe, they make newborns even more cuddly to hold! Especially a pair of mama made ones!
Super cute sets!! Looks like another great pattern you’ve designed Bonnie 🙂
So excited for you Bonnie ! My favorite part about baby clothes is that you get to change their look nearly constantly between outfit changes and size changes !
Congrats!! That’s so cool! The thing I love about baby clothes is how much fun they can be when you make them yourself. Picking the fabric, embellishments etc to match a little one’s personality…the best!! ?
My favorite thing about baby clothes is just making them! I’m done with the tiny baby stage & it’s so much fun to sew tiny outfits for other’s little ones. Thanks for offering such a generous giveaway!
I love how cute baby clothes are and I love to sew them because they are so quick to finish – helps the ADD in me to finish my projects. 🙂
What a great giveaway….why do I love baby clothes?!? I love the smell of fresh baby clothes, I love the softness of baby clothes! I look forward to trying to make this next ones clothes!
My favorite thing is how WARM they look! They are really cute too!
Thanks for doing a giveaway!
Ok, that little guy of yours is just too cute! He looks like a real charmer (aka stinker)! And the Bacon & Eggs set is adorable on him too!
What I love about baby clothes is they are so fast to sew up. Plus fit is fairly easy (no boobs to try fit…) and if I screw up sewing something that small, it’s not a huge disaster. 🙂
Your little man is just adorable!! I love the look of this set! I would love to be entered.
I love comfy & practical baby clothes. This outfit is perfect because it actually hits all 3 of my “ideals” with baby clothes. It is comfy, practical & CUTE!
My favorite thing about baby clothes is they are so quick and easy to make! Clothing for my babies is one of my favorite things to sew: they don’t use a lot of fabric, they are not like everything in the store, and there is nothing more satisfying than knowing I made the clothes on the baby I also helped to make. 😉
Oh me!! I can’t get the magazine here. 🙁 Love, love the pattern.
I love how small baby clothes are…how quick they are to sew up…how you can fit many many outfits in one load of laundry…I love everything about baby clothes!!
I love how tiny and cute and comfy soft baby clothes are!
Thanks for the chance to win! 🙂
I love how baby clothes are so cute even when not on a baby and sewing them makes you go “aawwwww” at least a few dozen times over.
I love how small and cute and squish baby clothes are! I am having a new edition in August so this would be perfect!
I have always loved your stuff, but I don’t have any or any of your patterns yet. I currently have one wearing 12-18 month rtw stuff and a new bean also due in Aug. It’s so cute!
Another awesome pattern! I love so many things about baby clothes, it’s hard to pick one. I love how quick they are to sew, how tiny they are, how little fabric they use, but mainly I love seeing them on cute little squishy babies!
SO cute, Bonnie!
I love baby clothes not only because they are cute, but because they are so quick to sew up and use so little fabric!
Love the pattern! I have to say my favorite thing about baby clothes are how soft and comfy they look! I just want to snuggle up with them!
Oh me!
I love how baby clothes hang in a closet. I have my girls’ clothes hanging on 2 rods and they are so small that A LOT of clothes fit this way.
Hi Bonnie! I absolutely love all your patterns. What do I love most about baby clothes? They take so little fabric to make and well designed patterns are so easy to get on and off. And really….one more reason to cuddle up to a warm sleeping baby!
Hi Bonnie, That is so darn cute. My favorite thing about baby clothes is how cute and tiny they are.
Yay! The thing I love most about baby clothes is that you need so many of them! I love buying/making itty bitty clothes and tiny babies *need* so many more than a bigger kid. It’s a great excuse to feed my shopping/sewing addiction.
I love baby clothes as they are so quick and easy to sew. Factor in cute fabrics and the possibilities are endless! Thanks for the giveaway!
Hi Bonnie! The pattern looks awesome! I love the itty-bittyness of baby clothes and how soft and snugly most are!
I love this set Bonnie! Super cute!
My favorite thing about baby clothes is that it takes so little fabric to make them! (And they’re adorable.)
What an awesome giveaway!
I love the softness of baby clothes. I also love how they smell out of the wash, you know dreft and all! 🙂
Crossing my fingers!!!
I love sewing baby clothes b/c of how quick they are, and how little fabric they take! Plus clothes are just cuter when they are itty bitty!:) Thanks for an awesome giveaway Bonnie!
What a great giveaway!!
My favorite thing about baby clothes is when you are expecting just looking at the adorable outfits and thinking of your baby in them gets you through those super hard last couple months.
Loving the looks of this pattern. I love baby clothes because they are so soft and comfy and make cuddling all the sweeter.
Charlie is so CUTE! My favorite thing about itty bitty baby clothes are the babies that go in them =D. I love little sweet babies. As far as making baby clothes I love how you can use such a small amount of fabric to make such cute outfits =D
I love how itty bitty baby clothes are. I’ve saved our favorites and enjoy pulling them out to look at them and reminisce about how my kids were once tiny babies.
My favorite thing about baby clothes is that they are so adorable, especially ones that are handmade.
Oh I love that!! I love the way baby clothes come in such fun colors and patterns! But I hate rtw clothes dont cover cloth bums! I spent 5 minutes trying to squeeze my fat baby into a pair of jeans today… size 12 m it was rediculous!
How adorable! I would love to make some of these!
My favorite thing about baby clothes is how tiny they are!
I feel like baby clothes are a little less intimidating to make, since they’re small and require fewer materials.
And, of course, you have so much more freedom with patterns and colors!

So cute! My favorite thing about baby clothes is how comfy they look. Who wouldn’t want to be snuggled in handmade clothes?!
Love this new pattern, its on my must list for my baby!
The sweet baby inside of them!
Oh, what a wonderful giveaway! Thanks so much!
My favourite thing about baby clothes is how comfy they look. I often wish I could just hang out in a sleeper and onesie all day!
I love how quick and easy baby clothes are! And they only use a small amount of fabric. 🙂
My favorite thing about baby clothes is reminiscing over them after babe is no longer a babe. I always tear up when I go through the boys’ old clothes. Hard to believe they were ever that little. I love making baby clothes too, cause what makes you more proud than your baby sporting a mama-made outfit.
You’re awesome Bonnie! You should know the only clothes I’ve ever made for my babe are from your patterns. Same for the oldest too, sans a few pairs of Katrina’s fleece pants, before I had your patterns.
Oops- entered too soon. My favorite thing about baby clothes is how sweet the babies are inside them! Also, you almost never get complaints from babies about clothes you make them.
Love it! I think the best thing about baby clothes is they go on babies!!! Apart from that I love that they are easier to make than adult clothes.
So cute! My favorite thing about baby clothes is having a baby!
They are adorable.
I love your patterns! What I love most about baby clothes are how teeny they are, and when making them, how little fabric you actually need!
I can’t read and I hit enter too fast. My favorite thing about baby clothes is that they are small and use less fabric than adult clothes and essentially are faster to sew up. I like fast sewing!
My favorite thing about baby clothes is, apart from sewing them, trying to match the fabric to the little one I am sewing for. That sometimes take more ime than sewing the item itself.
I love that you don’t need a ton of fabric and that you can do a lot of coordinating of different patterns–anything goes when sewing baby/toddler cloths.
