The 4th of July is less than two weeks away! I meant to have this tutorial finished and ready to share weeks ago, but, as often happens around here, life got in the way. (Do I sound like a broken record?) It is a quick sew, though, thanks in part to some of the speedy piecing methods that I used! I made the pillow version above in a few hours on a rainy Saturday afternoon, and I’ll probably keep it on my entry bench year-round. I think it works well with our cottage decor.
This tutorial includes instructions for making a mini-quilt top or a pillow top that you can finish to fit a 14” x 20” travel pillow. Of course, you could sew a stack of these and put them together to make a quilt, too! I’m planning to do that as soon as I get a few other things off of my list.
This is my first time writing an actual quilt pattern, and I’m trying out some things that I haven’t used before. Please feel free to let me know what you think about the way it’s written. I would love ideas for how I can make it better. (I’m already thinking that the colors on the images are really too dark to print if you’re using a black and white printer.)

After looking into a handful of the blog articles on your blog, I
really appreciate your way of writing a blog. I book marked it to my bookmark site list and
will be checking back in the near future. Please chek out my
web site as well and tell me how you feel.

I love the flag pillow and mini quilt. I’ve tried to download but not been successful. When I click on it I’m sent to Craftsy. Is the pattern still available and how can I download it?
Thank you,
