It has been such a busy year for my little design business — I’ve released 18 new patterns this year! A large portion of those new releases have been part of a series called “Jersey Love”. The girl set includes one yard of Riley Blake Rainbow Chevron Jersey and 1/2 yard of RB Navy Dot Jersey, along with your choice of any of my patterns (paper or pdf) and five sew-on tags for that perfect finishing touch!
The boy set includes one yard of Riley Blake 1/2″ Gray & Yellow Stripe and 1/2 yard of RB 1″ Gray & White Stripe, along with your choice of any of my patterns (paper or pdf) and five of those Fishsticks Designs sew-on tags.Entering is really simple! All you have to do is comment on this post. If you do sew with knits, tell me what is your favorite thing about sewing them. If you don’t sew with knits, what is holding you back? Be sure to include your email address so I’ll know how to get in touch with you if you win. (Email addresses are never shared.) The drawing will run through December 13th at 2 p.m. eastern, a winner will be drawn at random from all entries, the winner will receive their choice of the boy set or the girl set, and this giveaway is open to US and international entries!

Erin Kimmons says
i love sewing with knits, so comfy and less wrinkly 🙂
Maria C says
I would be happy with either 🙂 I am just starting out sewing with knits.
I love how forgiving jersey is. I’d love a girl set.
I love sewing with knits because my kids love wearing knit clothes. And I’d be happy with either set!
Emily O says
I have done some sewing with knits and find it a little tricky, but the main thing stopping me right now is time. A 1 and 3 year old really limit my time for sewing and crafting.
Fawn B. says
I have purchased a few knits but haven’t sewn with them yet. I think what’s holding me back is pure intimidation. Sticking with quilting right now b/c I’m comfortable with it, which means quicker Christmas gifts.
Lovely giveaway! I’m always happy to add to my growing fish sticks pattern collection!
I like sewing with knits. I would love the girl set and choosing a new pattern is going to be fun.
I haven’t really sewn with knits but I’m about to start. I just bought some over the thanksgiving holiday and can’t wait to cut into them.
…and I hit enter too soon! Knit clothes and pjs are just so comfy for the kiddos! And with a serger, they’re a quick project!
Susan Mitchell says
I love sewing with knits, so quick and comfy for the little ones!
I love sewing with knits.because its going to be comfy and worn very often by my kiddos 🙂 I would be happy with either set also. Great giveaway!
I love sewing with knits, but didn’t start doing so till I found your patterns 3 years ago or so. I love how quick most knit projects work up, and I love projects that I can tackle the whole thing on the serger! My girl pattern collection is pathetic, so if I won, I’d love the girl set to start sewing for baby #3, A GIRL! ananda473(at)hotmail(dot)com
Alison Bragg says
I have never sewn with knits. I’m a beginner, but I’m going to try soon … right soon! LOL
Ashleigh J says
I have not tried knits yet. I really want to, but I have always been told they are really difficult and was working up to them.
I’m a beginner in sewing with knits, I like that sewing with knits doesn’t require a lot of experience in fittings, but on the other hand it’s kind of hard to choose the right knit fabric (content, stretch) that’s suitable for each project …
Thank you for the chance …
Vicki H says
I love sewing with knits,so easy to zip through the serger.I would be happy to win either set!
Nancy B from Many LA says
I’ve never sewn with knits, because I was always scared to. Now I have a serger, so I would try it! LOL!
I love sewing with knits! While I was pregnant this fall it was so nice to make some easy to sew, easy to wear dresses and sewing cozy outfits from your Little one Layette for my 5th baby 🙂
I love sewing with knits – though I sew with wovens more often as they are easier to find 🙂 but the knits are so comfy! I’d pick the girl set btw – though I do love grey on my girls hah
I just started sewing with knits and my first shirt turned out pretty good. I just need to go a little slower and not be in a hurry. Then I think all my knit projects will turn out better. I would love to win the boy set.
SHELLY MILLER says
I love knits bcz they are so forgiving!
I love that knits make practical clothes, especially for boys.
Melissa Chambers says
I love sewing with knits! They are very forgiving and…(lazy sewist confession) you don’t HAVE to hem them/they don’t unravel.
Tammy Lyons says
Girl set is good for me. I love knits. Especially being able to sew on the serger with them. Makes it so much easier. Love your patterns. Thanks for the chance to enter your giveaway. conn_and_vans_momatyahoodotcom
Sara K. says
I looove working with knits. It’s basically all I work with 98% of the time! They sew up quick and have a great drape and softness which is perfect for children’s clothes.
Terri Groce says
I have a love/ hate relationship with knits! I always love the results but fear something will go wrong in the process! With 4 small grandchildren, I face the demon a lot!!
I’m scared….but I really want to try. I’ve sewn with knits once to make a nursing cover. I’d love the girl set. Thanks!
Knits are my favorite! I love that you don’t have to be very accurate when you cut and that you can be lazy and leave things unhemmed 🙂
love sewing with knits–love that you can be a little off in your cutting but you can just stretch it into place a little!
Raina DelRio says
I have not sewed with knits because they intimidate me. I head they roll and move. I love sewing with cottons, just haven’t made the leap yet!
I do sew with knits. I love them because they are easier and more forgiving than wovens.
I have sewn dresses, leggings and tops for my girls out of knits. I like that they just look so comfortable wearing the clothes I make them. Would love the girl set if I win!
I do sew with knits, but very slowly, carefully and not too often , because it is hard work when one does not own a serger. It can be done on my sewing machine, but very carefully!
Heather Haley says
I love sewing with knits. It is so quick and easy to whip something up that looks great.
I would love to have the boy set.
I still feel pretty new to knits, but I feel comfortable enough with them using my serger! I would love the girl set!
Thanks for the chance to win!
This is a fantastic giveaway. I have three girls, but I really love the boy prints – is that bad? Thanks for the chance to win.
Amy D says
I love knits for the comfort factor. They can be a pain to sew with but you have to love that walking foot!
Sarah Box says
I love sewing with knits! Knit fabrics are so comfy and come together fast. My little ones are always happy to wear them!
I’m interested in sewing with knits, but since I sew quilts a majority of the time I haven’t had much use for them. I am always tempted to purchase, because they are so soft!
I have a serger but don’t know how to thread it… I will have to find out. Thanks!
I love that knits are so quick to sew up and with a walking foot, SO easy!!!
Cecillia Xiao says
I lOVE sewing with knits. It’s what my family loves to wear (so comfy!) and I love using my serger!
I absolutely love sewing with knits!! It was the Charlie Tee pattern that got me started and I’m hooked! I love sewing clothes that my kids want to wear. They’re comfortable enough for everyday wear and with the right fabric combination, can even be dressy enough for church. I especially love knits on my toddler. She’s 15 months old and roly-poly. Knits are just so much more comfortable on her than some of the more constrictive clothes my older kids wear.
Jennifer McLarty says
I’d love the girl set! The only sewing the jersey knits is converting a men’s t-shirt into leggings for my daughter’s Fawn the fairy Halloween costume. I don’t mind sewing with that fabric though find it challenging to keep it from puckering (does that term make sense). This could be because I’m relatively new to sewing (just started this past April … but have already made sundresses, skirts, and leggings for my girls). 🙂
I’ve never sewn with knits…the stretch scares me! But that chevron print might just convince me to give it a try! Thanks for the chance!
I have done some sewing with knits. Love: less finishing, comfortable product, less fitting issues. Not so much: getting it to look professional
Great giveaway, Bonnie! And wow, that’s a lot of patterns this year!
yay, i would be happy with either as i have boys and a girl
I have sewn with knits a couple times before, and it is much easier than I ever thought it would be. Plus it has gotten even easier now that I have a serger!
Love the girl set!
I LOVE sewing with knits! They are so fun to work with and I find myself reaching for them over other types of fabric! I love the patterns and knits that are available now. So much fun! I’d love either the boy or girl set!
Gabriel R. says
Everyone in the family likes knit clothes. I like that they require less inside finishing.
Amanda Kaye Grant says
I’ve never sewn yet with knits, but I’d love to! I would prefer the boy set =)
Thanks for the chance to win!
Amanda Kaye Grant =)
I don’t sew with knits–or haven’t. I think time and I’m just not sure I can do it. Thanks so much for the chance!
Tera Nelson says
I love sewing with knits! Favorite thing to make: Lil Fishies Undies. They go together fast and super cute! Thanks for an awesome giveaway!
I’ve been sewing since I was 12 (now 67) and am just now sewing with knits. LOVE their fit and the ease of making simple, comfy things.
Kristin Marsh says
I love sewing with knits, there is no unraveling and the finished product is way more comfy than woven cotten. I remember when I was learning to sew, I went to the fabric store for the first time and bought some knit fabric, because it felt more like what clothes should feel like, not knowing I was supposed to be intimidated by them. 🙂
Pastor Katie says
I love wearing knits, as does my family, so I am working on sewing with knits. I have finally got the tools to sew well with knits. (A serger, coverstitcher and a Husqvarna Viking Rose sewing machine that has a stretch stitch. (I only had straight and zigzag machines before) and I know those aren’t necessary, but I didn’t have nice results with just a zigzag. I hope I win! Those sets are so cute!
I do sew with knits, but I avoid it as much as possible because, even when I use a jersey needle, my machine skips stitches like crazy. I have no idea why.
Anne Marie DeSimone says
I am open for sewing with anything! It is all so new to me I have yet to find my niche 🙂 And I would love either set…I have 2 boys and a girl
i love how comfy knit clothes are, my daughter loves the knit stuff i’ve sewn her!
I would love the girl set. I consider myself a beginner at sewing with knits, but I’m getting better and love using my twin needle to finish hems
Angela Bullard says
I haven’t done a lot with knits, but with two kids under the age of two I better get busy 🙂
I love sewing with knits! They are so comfortable to wear and come in such fun designs!
I love sewing with knits because they take hardly any time at all with the serger. Plus, they are so comfy!
Jenny W says
I love sewing with knits – my kids find them so comfortable!
I love that there is a lot of wiggle room with knits… your mistakes can more easily be hidden. 🙂
Susan Walls says
I have been afraid to try knits due to the stretch and potential for cutting wrong or things turning out floppy looking, but I do admit I am curious to try.
Michelle Smith says
I would love to be entered for the girl set. I love sewing with knits since you can get a better fit with the stretchiness of the fabric. Ever since I’ve learned about knits from your patterns and tutorials, I can’t get enough of them.
Sandra T says
I’m a beginner sewer and love to try new things
Girl set! I’ve sewn a little with knits, but need a lot more practice!
Pam C says
I have not sewn with knits very much. When I tried years ago I had nothing but trouble. My new machine handles them ok and I have grandkids I could sew for now-so if I win, I would have to choose the boy prize. It is so easy to find things to make for the girls.
Marilyn S says
I like how forgiving knit fabrics can be and that they are so easy and comfortable to wear. I have two young boys that I would love to sew some of your cute patterns up for. Thanks for the chance to win!!
I haven’t ever sewn with knits, and I’m terrified! I hope when I get up the courage my machine can handle it!
Michelle Fuller says
I have only sewn one thing with knits, a maternity dress that turned out way too big. I guess I could have sized it down but I wasn’t in the mood, hormone imbalances! I am going to try sewing my son a few knit shirts here after the holidays though, so wish me luck!
I do occasionally sew with knits. I’ve made a few dresses for my girls. The best thing about them are the stretch and quickness with which they sew.
I love how easy it is to fit things made with jersey, especially good quality stuff! I’ve learned my lesson about the cheap stuff. 😛
I love sewing with knits because they don’t fray! 🙂
I don’t often sew with knits because I don’t find knit fabric that I like!
I just finished my first knit project a few weeks ago, I totally love it, it is a new dimention in my little sewing world. I am looking for patterns and fabrics at the moment and i will probably start sewing T shirts and more T shirts for the summer season, a good start I think!. So, needless to say that I would LOVE to win your giveaway!.. Thanks for the chance!,
Renee A Davis says
I would be happy with either one…fear of sewing with knits keeps me from taking the leap, so silly!!
Thank you & God Bless
I love knits because I get to use my serger which makes for quick projects. I like sewing tops for me and my girls. Thank you for the giveaway!
Becky/Quilting Booklady says
I have sewn with knits. When my son was “little” (he is now 6’2″, I made sweatshirts and pj bottoms for him. I loved the ease of working with knits. Thanks so much for sharing with us!
I love working with knits now and I owe it all to you!
Loretta Aymond says
I have sewn with knits in the past for my children when they were young and am planning on doing some sewing very soon for my grandsons. I would love the boy set!
I have sewn with knits one time. Right know my machine needs some TLC so I can sew again.
I’m just a total newbie so everything is new to me.
Sue G. says
I would love to win the Boys pkg.
I’m nervous about sewing with knits in that i don’t know how to deal with the stretch.
Sarah R. says
I love sewing with knits because the results are so comfy and practical, especially for kids. But I am also still figuring it out and find myself “fighting” with my machine, trying to get things to look right and stand up to kiddo wear and tear.
Carolyn Moore says
I love knits! Sewing with them is quick and easy, and they make such cute outfits for my kiddos.
I haven’t recently sewn with knits, but in the past I did quite a lot. I made shorts for my boys for high school gym class and a lot of tshirts for my husband and all the boys. I loved sewing with knits because they were so forgiving and easy to work with.
Gosh, if I win, I am going to have a problem since I have two granddaughters and one grandson. lol Great giveaway. Thank you very much.
What’s holding me back about sewing with knits is that I haven’t run into any good ones in the stores I have access to. As a new sewer, I don’t know what I’m buying unless I’m able to see and feel it, and the knits at JoAnn always seem so thin and pilly!
i love that i can sew my own clothes for my son-that’s so satisfying.
What I love about sewing with knits is that I know they will get worn! They are so comfortable that the kids (and myself) don’t want to take them off! My ultimate choice would be the girl fabric with the v-neck pattern LOL
Deb@asimplelife Quilts says
Girl set please! I have sewn with knits when my daughter was small and enjoyed it. Would love to again. Thanks so much!
I sew with knits quite a bit. I love that my daughter likes pretty much everything so long as it’s knit… AND … no need to finish seams!
I love wearing knits, so they end up being the most worn items in our house. The girl set is right up my chervon alley!
Love the girl set!
Jenniffer Howling says
I admit that knits terrify me and I keep coming back to your patterns. 2014 is definitly a year to overcome this 🙂
Julia Perucca says
Lovely sets ♥ Best wishes from Argentina
Sara Soares says
Although I am always afraid to sew with knits (I don’t have a serger so it is a challenge…) I tend to choose mostly sewing projects with knits… (It is funny, now that I think about it!). I guess I love the way knits make such comfortable clothes for my 3 kids!
Bethanie Thatcher says
I’ve never tried sewing with jersey knits but I would like to try!!
Carla G says
I like to sew with knits, as these are the only shirts my son will wear. The only problem is finding knits locally. I’d choose the boys set. 🙂
I love sewing with knits – mostly thanks to you, Bonnie! 🙂 Your tutorials and tips and patterns have really helped me learn. I love how quickly they sew up and how well they fit.
Kim in SD says
I’ve sewn with knits for a few years and I love the comfort of the clothes made from them. Thanks for the chance to win!
Taryn (forkandneedle) says
I love sewing with knits because they are so easy and quick and are always popular to wear!
Olga Becker says
Thank you. I would love the boy set! Though I would take the girl set as well. 🙂 I think sewing with jersey is very forgiving. 🙂
I love how forgiving knits are.
I sew with knits because they are so darn comfy to wear!
Vicki H says
I would like either, I have granddaughter and grandsons. No, I haven’t sewn with knits. Thanks for the giveaway.
Sandy K says
I would love the girl set, but I do have a boy to sew for too. Thanks for the chance.
The girl set, and I am hoping to try sewing with knits this next year.
Kathy Davis says
I have never had much luck when sewing with knits, but I have a new machine now and would love to give it another try. I love the girl fabric and pattern. Too cute! My granddaughter would look adorable in that dress. Thanks,
I love both these sets!! The girl one is especially gorgeous. I have just begun learning to sew with knits — I don’t have a serger, so I’m always afraid I’m going to ruin whatever it is I’m trying to sew. My kids almost only want to wear knits, though, so I’m going to keep trying! 🙂
Karrie Smith says
I want to learn how to sew with knits. I just haven’t done it yet! Thanks for the chance to win.
I love sewing with knits because the stuff you make with them turns out to be so comfy!
Love making cute shirts for my grandsons and granddaughter would love either one. And I really like how your patterns fit!!!
Tina C. says
I’d love the boy set! I haven’t worked with knits yet – I’m terrified of them!
I have not yet made peace with knits! I’ve had some limited success more recently using stabilizers but am not very comfortable or completely pleased with results. I’d like to try to boy knits- thank you!
melissa @ missouri mel says
I’ve not sewed with knits. I haven’t had a project jump out at me yet.
I love to sew with knits! My favorite thing about sewing with them is–no hemming required! Hooray! I would love a girl set, too! Thank you!
I love how quick and easy most knit patterns are to put together.
Judith Martinez says
I am a beginner at working with knits. I mostly don’t work with them because the yardage is more expensive then some other types of fabrics.
Deb (Two Cheeky Monkeys) says
I want to try sewing with knits, but I’m afraid of the stretchiness and slipperiness of knits!
Love sewing with knits because they are so forgiving 🙂
There are so many reasons I like knits, fast sewing, no hemming, comfort, and i have a new grandson to sew for. So, I’d like the boy set
I haven’t sewn with knits yet because it just seems difficult to find quality stuff that’s not through the roof expensive. May not be looking in the right places!
Diana Z says
I do sew with knits and I love that I can sew them with my serger! It makes it so much easier.
I like sewing with knits. I like how much easier it is than I thought it would be before I got the courage to try it!
Tonia Jeffery says
I love how fast they are to sew up since they rarely need buttons or zippers.
I love sewing with knits, and your patterns were some of the first ones I used when I was teaching myself to sew with knits…love all of your patterns!
I love that it is so quick and easy and that the clothing is super comfy.
I would love the girl set if I am the lucky winner. Thanks for the offer.
I like sewing with knits, most of the time. My daughter does flying trapeze and I find that sewing 4-way stretch slippery lycra is not quite my thing. But payoff is grand, how else can you get a short sleeved, long legged neon yellow unitard? Regular cotton knits are a breeze after that 🙂
I sew for girls 🙂
darlene macdonald says
I sew for boys and girls so either giveaway would work for me. I have a love/hate relationship with knits and I think it’s my machine not the knits. I use my walking foot (after cursing out the issues) and then I’m good to go 🙂
thanks for the giveaway!
Nikita Smith says
I tried sewing with knits onnce, but it kept rolling on me and the itme looked a little wonky so I stopped, however I would love to figure it out b/c there are so many amazing patterns out there that knits are great for.
I’ve never sewn with knits but I’ve recently joined a sewing class so perhaps now is the time!!!
Margaret Schindler says

Girl set please!
I don’t sew with knits since the one time that I tried it was a disaster! I’ve been blog surfing and now have some tutorials for when I decide to brave the waters again! Thanks for an awesome prize!
joy stadt says
I have a new serger and a new grandson… reason enuf to overcome my knit-phobia 🙂
I love sewing with them because knits have a bit of error built into them because of their stretch. And of course they are just super comfortable!
Amy C says
I have not sewn knits before but my new sewing machine has a setting to do so so I would love to try it out!
Jessica P. says
I would love either of the sets, but I would prefer the girl set. I have not sewn with knits before. I am afraid to because of their stretchy nature. I am worried that I won’t have control. I would love to sew with them though. They would be wonderful to use.
deborah clark says
I love knits, but as a beginner at sewing I have come up with a few wonky seams/projects from using them without experience lol.
Cyndi @ The Nosy Pepper says
What a generous giveaway!! Thanks for the chance to win! I do sew with knits, as I make some clothing for my little guy. I’m certainly no expert with them, but I haven’t found them as daunting and I had expected when I started sewing with them 🙂
Sadie Fox says
I Love this! I do sew with knits, but not too frequently. I love the end result and the comfort of the finished product. I hate it when the raw edges roll. I combat that with lots of pins, but not sure that is the best. I also broke my serger, so I need to get that fixed so I am not using my reg sewing machine. Thanks for the chance to win!
I never used knits, they seem to me to difficult to sew with a sewing machine, it’s better to use a serger in this case!
I’d like the girl prize, thank you so much for the chance
I haven’t sewed with knits, there’s nothing holding me back, I jsut don’t have a local fabric shop so I don’t see them to buy them. I’d love the girl set, I love the chevrons
Since I have found your patterns/blog, you have given me the confidence to try sewing with knits. My kids (3 girls and a boy) have been very happy with what I have sewed for them. They said they are comfortable. Since I don’t have a serger, I am getting a pretty good results by using my walking foot when sewing. I love your patterns. They are easy to get a good fit and the instructions with pictures are easy to follow. Thank you for the chance to win.
I like that with knits you don’t have to finish the seams! yay! Thanks for the giveaway!
I don’t sew often with knits — I think it is harder to buy knits online than it is to buy woven fabrics. Thanks for hosting!
Madeline T. says
I would like the girl set. I would like to start sewing with knits.
Great giveaway, hope I win, Thanks!
I think knits freak me out a bit, but I just started to play around with some knits I got a a garage sale and see how they work. I would love either prize I have a little boy and a little girl. So much fun thanks!

I find it tricky to sew with knits because they’re stretchy!
Ana Couto says
I have sewed some ragland t-shirts for my kids, but I still have a lot to learn. Thanks for the giveaway. Ana
Jessica w says
I have a serger and that makes sewing knits a lot easier, but I love how they feel, look, and how cheap and fast it is to sew a nice shirt!
I have not sewn with knits, though I really plan to start. Well, I guess I have sewn a little bit with fleece, but I really want to start making more clothing for my daughter. Just need to try it out!
I love the boy set! Riley Blake…can’t go wrong!
I do sew with knits–they’re so comfy, and versatile, and forgiving! But I’m always nervous…
I haven’t been sewing with knits. I guess I am not only because I am nervous that they are too stretchy for me.
Leigh Anne says
I have worked with knits a few times but it’s not my favorite thing to work with. Perhaps it is because my knits have been cheap big box brands ?
Stacy Alfano says
I love making comfy leggings for my girls with knits!
I’ve just started sewing with them and really like them because they make such comfy clothes for my daughter.
Awesome giveaway! Thanks for the chance! I am just afraid of knits, but I finally have my first project picked out to start after the holidays!
I love making clothes with knits for my girls.
I love sewing recycled t’s for my kids. I’d love to try one of your patterns! Thanks!

Kellie S. says
I love sewing with knits! I was so afraid of them but after I got started I realized what I had been missing! They are so very forgiving of mistakes.
Lynne Tilley says
I don’t EVER sew with knits. I’m terrified of them! I would give these to my daughter who sews with every fabric imaginable. She sewed for years in the costume shop at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and is more comfortable and familiar with it. She has two adorable girls, so the girl set of fabrics would be best.
Kelly Williams says
I haven’t sewn with knits but would be willing to try. I really like the girl set. Thanks so much for the opportunity.
cute choices on fabrics. i like the girl set!
I want to try but am unsure of where to start. Your patterns are totally cute
I sew with knots because your patterns make it so easy!
Knits. Not knots.
Erin M says
I do sew with knits. I just love how stretchy and soft they can be. So much more comfy for kids clothes – it’s my fave!
Knits are my absolute fave to sew with and lately it’s all I’ve been sewing with. Earlier this year I had a bit of an emergency situation – my little girl was almost 4 and was refusing to go any further with potty training. ACK! So I decided to design and sew some reusable bamboo potty training pants as a last ditch effort to finally train her. It worked! So I decided to work a little more on development and I’ve been selling them ever since. I make them out of knits with a bamboo inner lining and they’ve been flying off my “shelves”. Knits are so fantastic 😀
Heather M says
I don’t generally sew with knits, but I’m not opposed, I really would love to start sewing more garments. I love your patterns for boys, there just are not that many out there. Thanks for the great giveaway!
I just got some knits and not real sure how to use them so would love to have your expertise in this matter, and love the girls set.
My favorite thing about sewing knits is seeing my kids wearing clothes I made. 🙂
I think knits are great because my KIDS think knits are great! They wear anything I make of knit constantly!
Tamara Hampton says
I have never used knits. I would love to start! boy or girl would be fine, i have both.
Nadine Milburn says
Love sewing with knits..so easy to work with.. grandgirl loves knit leggings I make her..
I’d love to win the Girl’s set. I haven’t done much sewing with knits, but with a new baby grand-daughter, I want to get going!! Too much cute stuff!! :o)
I have not sewed with knits in a long time, but now I have a grand daughter and she looks so stylish in stretch pants. And that is something I can make for her. Thanks for the giveaway!
i love sewing with knits because my kids love wearing knits. simple as that. 🙂

I am a blog reader and my favourite pattern is your boys underwear pattern. Would love to try it for my skinny six year old.

I love sewing with knits. So soft and forgiving.

I love how knit clothes are one my kids love to wear.
Knits are so forgiving! I love the girl set!
I don’t sew with knits often but when I do I like how truly easy it is to sew them but the one thing I find difficult is hemming them. I still haven’t gotten it right yet.

I’m hesitant to sew with knit. Just not sure how different it will be from cotton. I made myself a knit maxi skirt that turned out well but it was pretty basic.
I’ve only made a maxi skirt with a knit that required only ONE straight stitch seam down the side! Not hard at all. I’m a little hesitant to do anything more complicated b/c I’m afraid it will stretch and pucker while I sew! email@example.com
I have only sewn with knits once, it was great! I made scarves for christmas presents. I think what have been holding me back is the fact that I can’t find knit fabric as easily as say cotton. Of course I can always buy online, but when buying fabric I like to be able to touch and feel it before I buy it
I do sew with knits, though very occasionally. My favorite part is the finish; knits are just the most comfortable thing to wear!
I haven’t sewed with knits, I have done mostly quilts. My daughter likes sew clothes though. Thanks for chance to win. I like the girl version.
I have never sewn with knits but would love to give it a try. Thanks for a chance 🙂
I haven’t tried sewing with knits yet, but I very much want to try. I’m a beginner, so I haven’t just got around to trying knits yet. Thank you for a chance to try 🙂

I’m afraid of the stretch factor. I’d happily take either prize and try to conquer my fear 😉
I sew a few knits, but I really didn’t know how to handle them! I’ll get a serger today (!!!! scream of joy here!!!) and I’m sure I’ll be able to do things with a nice finish.
Southern Gal says
I don’t sew with knits. The one time I tried everything was wonky and stretched out of whack. That was years ago so I’m ready to give it another shot. I would love the girl pack for my granddaughter!
Thanks for the chance.
I like sewing with knits because the construction is usually quicker, no edges to finish and the clothes are usually very comfortable Thanks for the chance to win.

I love the softness of the fabrics. I woul love to win the girls set.

I would be happy with either 🙂 I am just starting out sewing with knits.

I’ve never sewn with knits, because I’m afraid that they’d be difficult to sew with.
Thanks for the giveaway!

I love the feel of jersey and how forgiving it is. I would enjoy the boys set.
I haven’t sewed with knits yet, but I’m mostly just unsure of the proper settings to sew it with my machine.
I love how jersey feels and wears. It’s so much more practical of a clothing fabric than quilting cotton! 🙂 That said, it’s hard to find cute jersey by-the-yard (without spending a bunch of money) and I’m not a good thrift store shopper, so I don’t sew with jersey much.
I am actually just beginning. And I would love to learn more to sew for my boy.
Ramona M. says
I used to sew with knits all the time when my kids were younger but now I am sewing with knits more for myself. I love how soft and forgiving knits feel and I think they sew up quickly.
Michelle R says
I LOVE sewing with knits! They are o forgiving and easy and the results are so comfortable!
Love sewing with knits. What’s all the fuss about? I would love the boy version.
I like sewing with knit especially making a blouse. I like the girl set.
Oooohhhh, I have been drooling over your patterns for a while and would love either since I have both boys and girls… I have purchased a knit fabric, but I have been so scared to ruin my first try at knits that I have not taken that step yet 🙂
Gali katz says
I’d love making my boys a shirt from the stripes fabrics
Thank you for the giveaway.
Kari C says
Knits are so much easier to sew with than I ever realized and they make super cozy kids clothes!
I haven’t done much, but I am excited to do more. I would love the boy set.

Brand new to sewing… what’s holding me back is SO MANY ideas, and only so many hours in the day! 🙂 Would love to try these! Thanks for the giveaway!
I’ve never sewn with knits…..I might have to try!
Debra Neiman says
I love knits, but I am learning and haven’t tried them yet. I could really use the girl set. I am happy to follow you on Bloglovin. Merry Christmas. crystalbluern at onlineok dot com
I just started sewing with knits and I can’t believe how easy they are to work with! No need to hem and I find it very forgiving. Having said that, I hate that the ends roll in, argh!
I am afraid of knits! Everytime I have sewed with them my stitching eventually comes out.. 🙁
Kristen @ KD-Quilts says
I love how forgiving it is to work with knits. It’s seems so intimidating, but it’s really so simple! I would love to make more clothes for my boys!
I’ve never sewn with knits…seems scary:) Thanks for the giveaway! amy @ gasudimack(at)sbcglobal(dot)net

And I whish you a merry chrismas !

I’ve just started on my first knit project, a long sleeve top for dd1. It took me a while to find the right combo of stitch setting and tension, but so far I am enjoying it.
I love sewing with knits, because they are comfy, and I can be pretty sure my boys will wear what I make! (They are much more picky when it comes to wovens). Thanks for the great giveaway, I’d love the boy set.

I like sewing with knits because you can leave the edges unfinished and they won’t fray! Thanks for hosting.

My very first sewing class was in how to sew knit t-shirts. I almost did my kids in when I tried to pull the shirts over their heads… I think my children just had over-sized skulls but my love of knits was born… I would love the boy set…
i have admired fishsticks patterns but never sewn any. I have I hard time remembering to switch to my ballpoint needle. Other than that, sewing with knits is rewarding cause my kids like the feel
the only knits I really sew is when I cut up some clothing and turn it into something else. I love that THOSE knits are usually free. thanks for the chance!
I never had much luck sewing with knits before I got my serger. Now I love knits! I would choose the girl set.
I’d love the girl set. I love sewing with knits because I like the wearability of the finished garment and because you don’t have to finish the seams 🙂
Nicole Sender says
I love to sew with knits. I like to sew with knits using a serger. I also like to reuse old t-shirts.
I love knits as they are so soft and comfortable for kids clothes. Thanks for the giveaway!
Jenna O says
I love to sew with knits. They are soft and in my opinion easy to sew with 🙂
Knits do make me a bit nervous – don’t know why. I had some out recently but went with a different project. I’d love to jump in and try it!
After sewing for 30 years, I bought my first overlocker and started sewing with knits only a few years ago when my 3rd child was born. I was petrified of sewing knits even though everyone assured me that they were so easy. And they are. Easy, forgiving and fast! Love them.
Thank for the chance. I would chose the girl combination but really either would be fine.
I’ve been sewing with knits since I was a teenager (a long time ago). Knits are so forgiving and comfy. The only thing holding me back is the poor choice of knit fabrics in local fabric stores. I love the girl pack.
Christy Dixon says
I’ve never sewn with knits. I mainly sew for my 4 year old granddaughter and this would open an entirely new world for us (she “designs” it and I sew it… we come up with interesting projects!) I am a self taught sewer and I started with quilts and anything else easy and cotton. Knits scare me but I would love to try!!! Thank you for offering the chance! I’m off to look at your tutorials. I just found you so I’m excited to see what you offer on your page!! firstname.lastname@example.org
Fear! Fear is holding me back! Actually I’ve tried, but it was a ridiculously slinky knit which kept getting chewed into the machine. I think I need to get some nice, non-slinky jersey to play with.
I have no preference for which bundle, I have 2 boys and a girl so either one would be appreciated!
I would say I tentatively visit knits while tailoring: cutting off a hem here, sewing a t-shirt side a bit smaller, pulling up a shoulder to make the neckline smaller. I’m nervous with the needles and stretch stitches.
I haven’t sewn with knits before. I am pretty new to sewing and I worry I don’t have the skill needed.
Barbara J says
I sew almost exclusively with knits. When it’s a garment for the kids, it’s because the fabric is comfy and moves with them. When it’s a garment for me, it’s because the fitting is easier.
Heather in CA says
I’ve been learning to sew with knits this year and have to say I love it! My favorite thing about sewing with them is how comfy they are. My kids love wearing the things I make with knits.
Is sewing with knits easy? I hope so, since I’d love to sew up some comfy togs for my granddaughter!
If were .Ione of the lucky ones I’d pick the girls prize
I love knits and have a little collection of them just waiting for me to get up the nerve to cut.
I think I’m stalling because I worry that I don’t know what I’m doing and I’ve heard so much about how knits are difficult to work with.
I’d love to win that boy set! I like making my own shirts with knits because I can use regular knit material and not the super thin stuff store-bought shirts are made from!
Mom C says
I haven’t sewed with knits for a number of years. I made all my kid’s stretch shirts when they were younger but then I got into quilting and focus changed. I keep thinking my granddaughters would love the knit skirts but I don’t know the knit fabric anymore and so haven’t bought any. Thanks.
ashley sca says
I love sewing with knits. I mostly love how the fit does not need to be perfect for kids stuff, because its knit and will stretch. This is helpful for me with my son who is is shorter in the legs but has a long torso, or my very skinny very tall daughter.
I’ve only done a little sewing with knits, but I want to do more because they’re so comfy.
I want to sew more with knits but have other projects and have trouble finding knit fabric that I really like. I also think I need to get out and remember how to use my serger but I am sure I can do fine with my new regular machine that has a zillion stitches.
I’m not sure I could chose the boy or girl as I have a boy and girl to sew for. I like sewing with knits I finally made my first knit shirt for my daughter a couple weeks ago and loved it.
I have sewn with knits but not for a while. I have been sidetracked with quilting. I would choose the girl package because I have more granddaughters than grandsons.
I’d love to try to make the girls dress!
I love sewing with knits because they are so “forgiveable.” You can make mistakes and easily fix them. I would love the boy fabrics and pattern.
Lissa R says
I would love to work with knits, but I am intimidated. It moves differently and I am nervous about getting straight lines. Maybe if I start with small projects…
I love the feel the look and the comfort of knit but have yet to try to sew with it! I must get over it soon!
Knits are awesome! I’d like the boy set. Soooooo cute! 🙂 Thank you for the chance to win and Merry Christmas! 🙂
I love sewing with knits because they don’t unravel!
Leslie F. says
I don’t often sew with knits. They stretch and roll. Drives me crazy.
deanna b says
boy! never tried, but I need to 🙂
I don’t sew with knits. I don’t know what is holding me back. Maybe the stretchability of the fabric. I’d like to learn.
I love sewing with knits. For two reasons: 1- it’s what my family lives in! Leggings, t-shirts, hoodies… 2- You don’t have to finish your seams! Or even hem it sometimes… Thank you for the giveaway!
I did not sew with knits before. Would love to try 🙂

I’m actually new to knits, but loving them! so cozy and comfy and play friendly…
And I like YOUR patterns because they go up high enough in sizes for my kidlet to be able to wear them still.
thanks for the generous giveaway!

Knits are scary!
I adore knits, especially since I have a serger. They’re soft & comfy and you don’t really need to measure that well, they’re quite forgiving… 🙂
Loving the boy set, thanks for the giveaway! <3
I LOVE to sew with knits. I generally just use my serger and the projects come together so quickly! They get worn more by my daughter as well.
Marilyn Tucker says
I love both sets! I haven’t sewn any knits yet. Thanks for the chance to win.

I do sew with them occasionally. My favorite thing about them is the project is always loved by my son because he thinks they are so comfortable. They are a good challenge for me.
I’d love the boy set please!
I’m scared of jersey stretching whilst sewing .,… but I’m game to try!
love the boy set. I sew skirts for myself out of knits
Leggings are probably my favorite, but I’ve made lots of pajamas and a dress or two.
I love how soft knits are, and how they drape. Thanks!
Im still intimidated by sewing with stretch things.
Lucy @ Charm About You says
I haven’t sewn with knits – garments scare me! With two little girls I’m really tempted to try and cute patterns would help!
I’ve recently started sewing knits and the thing I like most is that they don’t fray
I love knits. They tend to be more forgiving if you don’t get the fit just right.
Thanks for the chance!
