I’ve really been wanting to sew some things for me lately, so I thought I’d jump into Made by Rae’s Spring Top Week Sewalong. For this first top, I followed Rae’s Spring Ruffle Top Tutorial at the Sew Mama Sew Blog, although I did modify it a little by adding cute elasticized sleeves. I really like the result. I think I’ll be making more of these!
Love it! I’m working on this same top and wanted to add sleeves but hadn’t quite decided what they should look like/how to do it. I could only seem to think of different versions of a cap sleeve, but I love the ways yours looks. The way the elastic makes it “bubble” is awesome. Good work!
I saw your top on Made by Rae this morning and had to head over to your blog to check it out. I loved the ruffle top…but totally needed it to have sleeves! I am very new to this sewing thing and have been trying to figure it out on my own, but as I work better visually I’m really glad to have seen your top! It turned out really cute. I’m so excited that someone else wanted sleeves on it to and gave me a picture to see. Thanks!
What she said! 🙂 Your sleeves turned out totally cute, and I too had been trying to figure that out.
Thanks!!!
I love the fabric you used. Your top is awesome! Agreed the ruffle top needed sleeves and you did it, well done! 😉
I adore this shirt (and yes I love the sleeves you added.) I think your shirt is my favorite, and although I missed the voting period I would have voted for you. The fabric you used is beautiful.
