These have been in the works for some time. I keep leaving them, finding something that I need to change and setting them aside for later. I’ve finally fallen in love with them, and now they’re just about ready for testing.
You can see the main pockets on the two pairs above. You can choose to sew the pockets on the outside for a more casual look or the inside for a more formal look. Those first two pairs are sewn from lightweight sweatshirt fleece.
This pair is constructed of cotton woven bottomweight fabrics. They’re a lot of fun with their print pockets and the cargo pocket on the leg. These have a back pocket which you’ll see in the modeling shots, too.
Here’s Charlie modeling the woven ones. He’s not an incredibly cooperative model, but I think you can get a pretty good idea of how they look. The waistband is flat in the front and gathered around the elastic in the back.
Here’s Jamie modeling the 4T. He’s wearing a pair made of french terry with the main pockets on the inside and two back pockets.
I’m loving the fabric versatility with this pattern, and, of course, the many pocket choices. If all goes well, it should be available for sale by the end October!

These look great! I’d be interested to see the inside of the waistband. I’ve already purchased a pattern similar, but the directions are lacking in the area of the waistband join. It leaves a small ridge. The pattern I currently have is also for only 3 sizes. What will be the size range on your pattern? You are so creative! How do you find the time?

Hi Bonnie, I love the look of this pattern and I too would be honored to help test it out if you need me. My boys are both right around 45 pounds, one is 40 inches tall and the other 44 inches, give or take. Great work as usual =)
Cute and adorable! My grandson (lives with me)…mom had him at 18. He’s almost 3, 32-35 pounds, I’d love to test your pattern, if you need a tester. I am 52 and have been sewing all my life…first clothes, now, mostly charity quilts! Clothes from time to time, though!
I can’t wait for this one too! It’s finally acting like fall might be on it’s way. I cannot wait until these are available.
Love this pattern! I’m especially grateful for someone who makes patterns for little BOYS. Cute patterns for boys are so hard to come by.
