Each year in the middle of the summer, people from all over the country, donate their time and talents to sew skirts, quilts, and pillowcases for children in foster care….
It’s time for summer fun! It’s been a busy summer so far in my house. Things are slowing down a bit now, though, so I’m keeping a list of activities handy to battle boredom and keep my kids screen-free as much as possible.
The 4th of July is less than two weeks away! I meant to have this tutorial finished and ready to share weeks ago, but, as often happens around here, life got in the way. (Do I sound like a broken record?) It is a quick sew, though, thanks in part to some of the speedy piecing methods that I used! I made the pillow version above in a few hours on a rainy Saturday afternoon, and I’ll probably keep it on my entry bench year-round. I think it works well with our cottage decor….
